simply charming...

I love this girl. She has talent, and a voice that in so unique. Although I LOVE Moulin Rouge, this may be tied for 1st place with Ewan Mcgregor's version. I love her smile. I love her accent. AND....I love her cute red hat.

to the best sister.....

I sure miss you. ♥.

Someone is always watching....

I had the amazing opportunity among my busy day to meet an amazing woman. Her name is Ann. This woman is from Africa. She is going here to school to further her education for greater job opportunities back home. This woman walked over and sat by my lonesome self today. I was pretty into my Microbiology Book...yes I'm a nerd, anyway, she walked over to my table and sat right down. She is 40 years old, with 4 kids back home in Africa with her husband. She was wearing a cute little grey sweat suit and a rainbow colored beanie. She had the most contagious smile. We started talking for quite a while, slowing getting to know each other. She had a pretty thick accent, but I still was able to understand her. (french is her 1st language). She said I was a pretty little girl and that God sent her to talk to me. As we talked for a while, we headed to the Caf to eat lunch. I thought maybe we would go our separate ways once we paid, but she said "Well....shoo we poot our begs on da table??" I said "of course" and then we went and stood in line for food. Throughout lunch we got talking about life and school. She made me realize how grateful I am to be able to get an education, for so little money. She said people back in her home would give anything to be in this place learning. She loves math.....What a funny lady.

Anyway, during our talking, church came up. She asked me if I went to church to praise the great god! I explained to her that I do, and I was a mormon! She said oh yes yes the mormons! Your Joseph Smith is great man. I believe everything you do. I believe in the Great God. What a great experience. Anyway, long story short...(who am I kidding...this is already a long story)...I am in the process of getting her a French Book of Mormon for her to read! She seemed so happy. I am so happy to have met my new friend Ann. I also believe her when she said that God will bring us back together again! So hopefully I will see her again. Especially so I can give her the Book.

You never know who is watching you. Always remember to be a great example. Not just a good example, but one that people will want to follow. We have a job here on this earth as members of the church! ♥how great shall be your joy in bringing save one soul unto Christ♥....

Everything was so funny today!

Today has been quite the day I tell you. Hilarious in fact. EVERYTHING seems to be way more funny when you have early morning conditioning! As I walk into math today, a little early so I don't have to sit clear in China near the back, I begin looking for a desk. It just so happened that 5 of us volleyball girls have the same math class. (thats its own story entirely...Coincidence?? I think not.) So anyway...we, being little social butterflies wanted to all sit next to each other. There was a group of empty desks near the front. K and I walked over to them and proceeded to sit down. HAHA I can't even think about this without laughing.....This emo girl was vigorously drawing pictures in her notebook, with her feet up on the seat of the desk I was eying! She seemed to pay no attention to me or K wanting to sit there. So...I say:

me: "Is anyone sitting here? (talking about the desk with her FEET on the chair)
emo girl: (looking up at me with an awkward look!) "umm, no."
me: "ok great"...

As I walked around the row of desks to claim the desk I wanted....Her feet are STILL there... I was like ummm ok...so I like set my backpack on the desk and started taking things out nice and slowly.....meanwhile.....she did not even look up, nor move her FEET! I was like holding back laughing so hard! K was dying! I was like are you kidding me??? Common courtesy!! Lol....so I finally just changed seats! SOO funny. Then, my space cadet teammate was the last to come in, and of course there is only one seat left in the room!!! THAT ONE. with the feet. This girl is crazy, how could she not know!! So....C (space Cadet!!!!) is the perfect candidate for being awkward in weird times like this!....K and I knew what was going on the whole time, and we were laughing so dang hard. C just like sits down, sqeezing in by the girls feet! I was laughing so hard, I had to excuse my self from the class room!! WOW! made my day for sure! C had no idea why I was laughing, but that had to be one of the funiest things ever. or maybe it was just because everything is so funny when you have early morning conditioning!!

I am thankful for that inconsiderate emo girl:)

Spring has sprung...

Spring is here....not the Spring that we wish was here...the other one. Spring volleyball. This means conditioning, weights, practice, individuals, eating plans...bla bla bla.
Today, bright and early at 6:30 a.m. my team got the opportunity to have our first workout. This is when I wish I would have maintained my inshapeness. It is hard, sooo hard getting back into shape. And doing it at the college level is pretty rough. There is only many more hours, many more gallons of sweat, and slimming down to come. I hope anyway. I feel like I am on the Biggest Loser. I just want to feel good and be able to push my body and mind to the limit. Lets see what this girl can do.

Back on Campus...

Well, I'm back. So sad to have to leave my family after an amazingly long Christmas Break. In total I was home for 5 weeks. Back and forth between my lovely Sister's house, Dad's, and Mom's, I always seemed to be very busy. It was such a great Christmas, I know, a month late....But I hope you had a Merry one.

New Years for me, was different than any other new Years I've ever had. Lets just say I was feeling a little antisocial and decided to jump on the One Tree Hill bandwagon. Suprise suprise, I watched my first episode and became addicted! Then I dragged Kate into it with me. I must say, watching them with her was a huge highlight to my Christmas Break. We laughed so hard, and even cried a little. Sister bonding time for sure.

I got to spend hours upon hours with the sweetest Nephew in the world! I love you Ty! I got to walk in on a couple awkward....tense moments at Katie's house...Remember that sis?? funny!

We went snowmobilling with my dad and wendy up at a cabin in idaho, watched kyle and kade wrestle! By the way, they are studs. I miss them already. I miss my mom too! She is amazing.

Here are a few pics for a late recap.

and a few more...

and...i chopped off my hair. I ♥ it. My hair dresser is amazing!
